    Lens correction.

Usually they are lens corrections.   My Leica Q, for example, shows this.  On that camera the "cropped" amount is the same as I'd see if I shot jpeg,  a 6000x4000 image.  The lens correction adjustment is part of the DNG, added by Leica.  Capture One just happens to show all the pixels captured by the sensor in addition to the "cropped" adjusted image.

    Thanks.

Next question, why would CO do a lens correction on one image but not another? I have several images taken the same day, same camera and lens and same focal length (24mm).

The images that were cropped were cropped the same way and pretty evenly. Not saying that is a problem, I just would like to understand what CO looks at when deciding to do a correction.

Can't answer that question, but you are not the first person to report this.  A search of this forum might find those threads.
