Colours washed out in Photoshop 2021 v22.1

I edited an image in the latest release of Photoshop 2021 today for the first time since upgrading to Capture One 21 and the colours are all washed out.  If I edit the same image in Photoshop 2020 the colours are OK and the same as Capture One.  What is wrong the export setting are the same for each?

    When you say that you edited the image with Photoshop 2021...

    Do you mean that you did some work on it in Capture One, then went to Edit with... and chose Photoshop? (Or did you choose Open with... and then select Photoshop?) And if it works for you in Photoshop 2020 but not 2021, is it perhaps a setting in Photoshop that is to blame?

    I have done some more testing and it looks as if there is a bug in the latest version of Photoshop.  If I view my images in a tab which I have always done as I often have more than one image open then the images open with washed out colours. If I then switch the open images into arrange vertically so the two images are now side by side in separate windows and not in tabs then the colours are correct.  Switch back to tabs and the colours are washed out.
