Live View vs Captured Image

I am thinking of using Capture One for Macro photography but I am having the following issue.

When I view a scene through live view the image looks very different to a stills image taken of the same scene. Both look like they have different settings or different lighting.

I was under the impression that they should look identical?

I am shooting with a tethered Nikon D7100 

OS 11.0.1

Capture 20 trial version (13.1.3.9)

I have attached screen shots of still image with settings and live view with settings.

    It looks like C1 is doing what it does.

    If you apply a linear response (see under Base Characteristics) and pull Distortion (under Lens Correction) down to zero, do they look more or less the same?
