CO21 keeps crashing
I recently downloaded Capture One 21 trial. It seems like a nice piece of software with some great features - I would like to like it. BUT it keeps crashing for no understandable reason.
I'm running it on a fairly new Win 10 pro laptop with Core i7 processor, 16gb RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
I usually cannot run the program more than a few minutes before it crashes (or freezes). With no error message or any kind of indication on what is wrong.
Another issue is that even if I close the program before it crashes it will not close completely - the UI goes away but a very CPU-demanding process keeps running and effectively prevents restart.
I've tried to make a complete uninstallation and then re-installing (making sure to let it complete the bizarrely long hardware acceleration install) - But that didn't help.
I don't have any issues with any other software (including other RAW-editing software).
Now, I have tried to set Hardware Acceleration to "never" in Preferences - so maybe that will fix things - but even if it does I think it is really bad that it crashes all the time - if there are issues with HW acc. this should be handled much differently.
Also, I've raised this with Capture One asking for support but I have been completely ignored. This is perhaps the biggest issue of all!
Nevertheless, if anyone have tips on how to make it run reliably it would be much appreciated.

Mine is also crashing randomly but seems to more often when the computer tries to sleep after the screen turns off. It just crashed though while I was working.

I am so frustrated. I have done every single thing Support suggested plus things that were suggested on this forum. The last thing I did which involved deleting certain folders, worked...for a few hours. Then, for no reason, the program began crashing when I attempted to process an image. Mind you, I had processed about 5 images prior to the crash. And they just took $200 from my Paypal account today for the annual subscription, which is now utterly WORTHLESS!
