express for Fujifilm.......importing photos problem

brand new to capture one (express) do bear with me.  I think I have somehow messed up the importing function.  When I click on import....in the upper left of screen it starts bringing up all of the photos on my computer and external drive.  I can't get it to allow me to identify a location or folder to import from.  It is probably something I have accidentally done.

any thoughts?......thank you!!
