Possible corrupted raw file (cr3))
Windows 10 (fully updated)
I have a 90D raw file which FastStone reads without a problem.
When I open up the CO Import window, the image of the Hummingbird is rendered correctly
When I click import, the Import screen goes away and the thumbnail appears in the browser window very briefly as the hummingbird, but quickly it turns a solid pinkish color. The image in the view window is also a solid color.
Very frustrating as Faststone reads it correctly. Both CO 20 and 21 do not
Any help is very much appriciated.

Faststone will likely be displaying the embedded jpeg, not the Raw data.
Could you make the file available for further testing?
Capture One 20 opens CR3 files from my M6 Mk II - essentially the same sensor as the 90D - with no problem.

Yes I can. What is the best way to make it available?
All my CR3 files open fine. It's just this one.
Thanks

You'd need to host it somewhere and post the link here.
I have to say though - the fact that you can open other files and not this one does suggest that it's corrupted. That being the case there's probably not much point in going any further.

You are most likely correct.
The odd thing is, is that Faststone does open up the CR3. I can zoom in and see detail which would not be in a thumb.
But the top 2/3rds of the image is fine and the bottom 1/3rd is a monochrome grey.
I would say that Faststone is more forgiving in opening a corrupted file, than CO. Oh well, at least I have something.
Thanks.
