image adjustment reference notes

Hello, currently when I am making additional changes to an image (lighten, contrast, etc.) to tweak it for output, I am manually writing notes in a logbook so I can remember what I did, should I choose to go back to the former version. It would be great if C1 had an area where I could just enter text and it would stay with the image history. I do not see that anywhere so it would be a future request but if anyone has a better way of currently handling this, please share your ideas. I know we can do an annotation layer but that doesn't work for me, no stylus input option. Thanks!

    In the IPTC subset of the metadata, you have the possibility to write what you like. For instance in the "Job identifier", "instructions", etc.... fields.

    Thank you for that suggestion. A larger free-form field would still be better. I will try to utilize those fields in the meantime.
