Zoom 100% on offline Previews is blurry in Capture one 21
Regenerated all previews in my catalog in C1 21 and when going through images and culling, zooming 100% on several offline images in the same time, they all look blurry (or probably upsampled version of a smaller preview).
Choosing only one image instead seems to be a better option as the same 100% zoom looks a lot sharper as expected...
Previews are generated using 2560px...
Anyone experiencing the same issue ? if the drive is connected the previews seems to update a second after zooming 100% and look good...

Definitely some bug here ...when having multiple offline images selected, alt + double clicking to 100% all images are blurry, using the loupe however with the same magnification on one of these images is tack sharp ...

This is what you would expect with an offline image. If you have a 2560 px preview (to suit your screen resolution) but your original image is perhaps 6000x4000 px (which would be a 24MP image, perhaps from a Nikon D7200) then Capture One can't display it properly at 100% without reference to the original file: that would required a 6000 px preview. If the image is offline, all it can do is bump up the 2560 px preview but it can't re-create the missing pixels, so its resolution will not be good.

I enclosed a screenshot of my screen: you can see that the preview looks like a straight upscaled version of the thumbnail of the image among several selected images, the loupe however seems to do a more correct actual zoom into the preview.
My screen resolution is 2880x1800px and it should still looks decent with 2560 so it is possible to cull images and see which photos are blurry/out of focus and which ones are tack sharp...but as it is now, everything looks blurry/out of focus so i m using loupe as a work around but it s a lot slower as i can only zoom at an image at a time instead of all images simultaneously...
Cheers,

I managed to find a workaround which kind of confirms the issue stated above.
When i get these blurry zoomed images on multiple selected previews, it does fix the blurry aspect to click on the Before/After button !!! The initial zoom try to display by default "After" images and for some reason does not manage to do it properly... toggling to "Before status" fix the issue and the image are sharp again ...
PS: these images do not have any adjustment applied to them....

First time posting here. I have the very same problem, upgrading from version 20 to 21. Offline files are of unusable low resolution. The higher resolution preview image is there as it appears very briefly to then be rendered in low resolution. As someone said above clicking the before / after button fixes the issue, for me pressing the proofing button does it, though the file gets rendered very small. This is also not a feasible workaround. Once Capture One finds the original image it works fine.
Has anyone found a solution for this problem?

The size you get with the proofing button will depend on the process recipe currently selected. If you have a recipe selected to produce, for instance, a jpg of 800px on the long side (perhaps for putting on a website) then using 100% and the proofing feature will render an image only 800px wide which will be small compared with your screen - this is so that you can see what the 800px wide image will look like when it's on the website.
If you switch to a recipe set to create a larger image, then what you see rendered with the proofing button and 100% will be larger.

Hi Ian,
This is not occurring when proofing (although i understand now that C1 is using by default selected recipe for proofing)
I did not have this problem with C1 20 and for me at least this issue appeared with c1 21 (i confirmed this by reverting back to the backed up catalog...).
As stated earlier, toggling Before/After in C1 21 to go to "before" state sharpens the 100% preview and displays it as it should, the after state is a blurry mess (looks as an upscaled version of a thumbnail to be honest). i m positive also that it is a bug... when choosing the option "selected recipe" in View -> Proof Profile -> selected recipe, then changing the recipe also sharpens the previews...
This problem is not present when only one image is selected and zoomed in 100% and seems to be linked to Multi view mode with 6-10 images selected...sometimes it seems like the system starts updating the preview on some of the images but does not do the full images (central part clear and the outer on each side pixelated)...
Not sure if it is also linked but i can see a wheel turning indefinitely in the middle of toolbar and when hovering over it says "Focusing viewer..."
