Setting the default folder for opening C1 catalogues

I wonder how to set the default folder so that it always opens there when I want to open another catalogue. So far it always jumps to windows - pictures , which I don't want and does not remember the last opening location.

    That is weird - for me, when i open or "new catalog/session" it is always in the last folder where i have been. I don't think you can set the "default location" (maybe some .ini file or registry key? but if the behaviour is that it's the last know location that would be overridden all the time).
