AutoCAD/Advance Steel 2021 crashes if it is on the same computer with CaptureOne 20 or 21

    It appears this has previously been observed for V20 and V21.

    Somewhere along the development paths of the applications the developers have both chosen the same name for one of their dlls. 

    All I can suggest, as I suggested on the linked post, is to report the conflict to both C1 and the Autocad developers and see what happens. 

     

    Whether there is some other technical solution available I cannot say. Back in the day one could create "closed" installations and control how things worked but whether that is possible in today's agile world I don't know. It's not a problem I have faced in recent times.

    Autodesk response:

    "it appears that Capture One does hook into the acad executable process and it crashes in the Nvidia driver DLL"

    My solution: Virtual Machine and Capture One install on it.
