Capture One Styles: Use & Customizibility

Hi, all. New here.

I'm considering getting the CO styles, but I'm wondering how helpful they are. Are pre-made styles useful practically at a serious level for working professionals, artists, bloggers, etc?

Because I want to avoid my photos looking like presets, can pre-made styles be customized and then saved with the changes?

  Styles give you a starting point for you to add your own adjustments (and save them if you wish) to make the look your own. If you do create your own looks it would be best to name them so as not to replace the original style starting points.

  it depends,  LUTs are indeed useful because a LUT can do color changes often impossible with on board tools but c1 does not support them. with some knowledge about color and experience it should be very easy to make your own presets after studying a look you like.  I do not only think that they are totally overpriced they are in fact useless for serous work because you first need to have images which fit / work with the changes a preset applies !
