C1 21 - Duplicate folders appear after import from LRC, deleting one, deletes all images from both
Hello,
I recently migrated from LRC to Cap One 21 Pro and am having a really hard time with the catalog. Specifically, for some reason, I have spawned duplicates of some of my folders after migrating from LRC. I am unable to remove these unwanted duplicate folders without also removing ALL of the same-named folders, including all the images that exist within. Changing the name of one folder, changes the name of the duplicate folders as well. Very strange. extremely frustrating, and makes the program virtually unusable.
Not a trial version, but a purchased program. I fully understand file management on my Mac (been online since 1979!!). I've already spent a good amount of time ranking images and if I remove them from the catalog, expecting to restore law & order by re-adding the folders afterward, I will lose all the rankings, and will have wasted hours of valuable time. I already tested this with a couple of files, so that is not a viable solution.
Restarting C1 makes no difference, and I'm afraid that synchronizing will only duplicate images to make matters worse (or delete some, as threatened). I've already dealt with duplicate images, at the very start. Been there, done that. My unfamiliarity with C1 processes isn't helping either, so I could sure use a helping hand here.
Any assistance very much appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Jeff

Hi Allen,
I believe I've read most, but will review your list again and see if I can discover something else.
What I did last night was move all the sub-folders that were sitting below the original folder into a newly-created folder. I then deleted the original folder from the HD, and then deleted the same folder (along with the dupe) from the C1 library. Was truly strange, since as I went through the motions of moving perhaps 25 sub-folders, the duplicate folder persisted just below it without reflecting any of my changes.
Seems okay for now, and hopefully it was only an initial glitch with the migration.
Again, very much appreciated -- thank you,
Jeff0
