Easily Move (Macro?) Files From Selects Folder Back To Capture Folder

    William,

Presumably you use the "Move to Selects folder" feature?

There is also a feature that allows you to "Set as Selects folder".

That allows you to set any folder as your selects folder. Including your current Capture folder if you so choose. Therefore you can use the same functionality as "Move to Selects"  to reverse the selections. Just remember to reset the nominated "Selects" folder after you have finished.

A kludge A work around. It isn't really a solution. Yes, it would work short term, but wouldn't it be better to have proper functionality?

You mean another copy of the same function with a different name?

Or drag and drop (from within C1.)?  Drag and drop is probably the more logical option. Mostly the approach that the majority of users use if needed. It may help for that if the Capture and Selects folders have been assigned "Favourites" status.

If you are using a Mac you have the potential for using Applescript for your macro suggestion..

If it is an everyday annoyance maybe skip the use of the Selects concept?

It's not a feature I use often. Perhaps once or twice in ten years with C1. Maybe I should consider using it more.

I tend to think of the selects folder as being something most pertinent to tethered studio shoots with the client's representative actively making choices during the shoot. That's not something I normally have need for.

Drag and drop seems like a more familiar and commonly deployed approach.
