Is it possible to disable to rotate function of the crop tool?
After a crop has been made, the crop tool changes to a rotate tool if you are near a corner of the crop.
Does anyone know if this feature can be disabled?

I don't think it can. I rarely use that, I must admit, but a lot of users seem to like having that as a way of rotating images.

If it isn't possible I would like to make it a feature request.
At the moment it is too easy to inadvertently rotate an image (by an almost invisible tiny amount).
Probalby not a real problem for most forms of photography, but a big problem for reproduction/archival photography.

Josse,
There is a specific thread in the forum for Feature Requests so that they can be gathered and considered by the developers. Or you can create a "Submit a request" to initiate a personal response.
At the moment the functionality is to change the crop if the cursor is inside the crop area or just outside a corner and it changes to a rotate feature for an area around the corner but away from it if the cursor is a few cms outside the crop area.
In your situation (or my nearest approach to it!) I tend to keep the Rotate tool visible and work with that to either adjust or remove Crop-initiated rotations. In some cases, I just prefer to use the Rotation tool rather than the crop tool if it suits the purpose more thoroughly.
But no, like Ian I am not aware of any way to disable it and personally, I am one of those that, as Ian mentioned, like it how it works currently.
