Color Labels via xmp from Lightroom. German spelling unable to import
The imports of my Lightroom catalogs do take forever which is understandable as they are 70k and another 35k photos.
But the resulting c1 catalog misses the color labels. (and BW conversion, etc.)
Even after I rewrite all xmp-sidecars from Lr and update Metadata in c1, which also does take very long, the color labels are not synced. Looking into one XMP-file with a text editor and comparing it to a CaptureOne XMP I recognized that Lightroom writes the colors as localized strings, meaning "Grün" for green and "Rot" for red. I already switched the language of Lightroom from german to english, but it obv. still uses the system-language for color labels...
And capture one only uses the english spelling so it does not recognize the field in the xmp.
Now I'm trying to manually create all color labels as keywords in Lr to filter and reassign the color label in CaptureOne, but, man:
"I already payed for this software, this feels a little bit like an elaborated, but free open-source project..."

As I understand it there are no standards for colour labels and interchanging data is entirely reliant on matching colour names and spelling.
Others who have similar process needs to yours may have some suggestions to offer.
Hopefully someone will be along soon.
There are a number of previous threads on the subject within the forum. It might be worth discovering them via a search if you have not already seen them. Search using "translate color labels" seemed to quickly produce a good list.

I have the same problem. Not only colors are not imported, for me most things they say should be imported are not: For example no exposure, no b/w handling. What is imported are star-rating, crop and keywords. And the C1 support does not react, only some bot referencing the tutorials that show how it should work. Spoiler: But it does not! Hello support, some human available?
This is how I helped myself with the color-tags: In LR I gave every photo with a red label a keyword named "LRred". Same with the other colors. After the import I filtered for that keyword and gave the color in C1. However, this is no solution and the import just does not work as described. I really wanted to change from LR to C1, but with this support and this very buggy Version I think I have to stay with LR.
