    I support this enhancement request.

If Capture One is to be a serious product for photographers it needs to try to reduce/remove the need for photographers to leave the COP application for their total workflow.

Of course this would be a very useful feature and of broader appeal than for instance the "annotation tool". What fraction of C1 users sends their work off to a retoucher?

Before one gets ones hopes up, however, consider that C1 does not even have a decent "Vignette" tool. The existing one is embarrassingly basic with no support for size, feathering, etc. Of course one can manually employ a radial mask, but if there is a "Vignette" tool at all, it might as well do a decent job. Same holds true for the "Grid" tool which offers only three (3!) grid types. Arguably one of the most useful ones, featuring diagonals and reciprocal lines (cf. "Golden Triangles") is missing.

This is not to sidetrack from the original request, I'm just giving a heads up about managing one's expectations.

I also support this request. At the moment I have to cycle my image through Silver FX Pro or Color FX just to add a border, and SFX in particular doesn't allow the thickness of the border to be adjusted so there is always a risk of spoiling a carefully framed image

i like this idea too. i‘m not sure if you can do a workaround in the print dialogue.... for an exhibition project i did this in a batch via a photoshop action and also inesign. so it would be nice to have some basic border options in c1.

I support this idea as well. Adding a frame and maybe wee bit of text would end the need for further editing outside C1 (for me at least)

    I support of this idea.

Used it quite a bit back in my LR days, as I enjoy the look it gives the images and you can also put your name, text etc. in that frame.

This would help to keep the workflow inside C1.
