Catalog cannot be opened via normal "Open Catalog" process
hi all,
when i browse to my catalog and double click capture one 21 opens but i do not see my catalog being opened. instead capture one asks me to open another catalog or create a new one. when i go to "File -> Verify Catalog or Session" and browse to my catalog it successfully validates everything and i am able to click on "Open" after validation and work with the catalog in a normal way. i can also create a backup after i am done working on stuff.
any idea what is wrong with my setup? this was the first catalog i created. it is placed on my ssd hard drive on my macbook 2020 (the intel version, not ARM).

Seeing the same with Capture One Express for Nikon, Build 14.0.2.49. I double click the catalog file and C1 starts up and presents a dialog requesting me to choose a catalog or create a new one. If I then choose the catalog (my only one) that I initially double clicked, C1 quits.
