adjustments only visible in thumbnails, not in main window

Suddenly my adjustments are only visible in my preview thumbnail and not in the main window.

In fact, when I change a setting (for example I change contrast) than the adjustment is visible in the main window for a fraction of a second and then it disappears. But when I look at the preview thumbnail, the adjustment is visible in the thumbnail

I don't remember changing any settings.

I can't find how to make the adjustments visible again in my main window.

Is this related to a specific setting?

  Some more info.

  I start adjusting the photo. The adjustments are immediately visible in the view window.

  I create a layer and I use the brush to make a mask. This goes well for half a minute or so and then suddenly the red mask color starts flickering and the adjustments in the masked area are not visible anymore  in the view window but only in the preview thumbnails.

  Hi Wim,

  Try to disable OpenCL in the Preferences -> General.

  I tried but it made no difference.

  I also noticed that the previews of some photos were not sharp. My photos are on a SAN and only the previews on my laptop. when I was editing them I wasn't connected to the SAN but in the past it didn't make a difference.

  I ended up doing a clean install (uninstall, remove all relevant folders related to C1 in Programs, App data, user /local/ captureone, etc.) of C1.

  I tested the new installation only with a new catalog with previews of photos on my local hard drive, not yet with previews generated from files on my NAS and editing while disconnected from the files.

  When using the new catalog with local files, the problem seems to be solved (with open CL settings on Auto).
