Capture One Express: License Deactivation undoable? (reactivate)
STORY:
I bought the Fujifilm XT-4 last summer and got the free Capture One Express 20 version with it. It worked finde but after some days, I couldnt use it anymore, cause it said, that I wasnt using it for too long. So I deinstalled it.
PROBLEM:
Now I wanted to reinstall this version yesterday.
But I cant activate my version/ license.
I logged into my profile and it says "0 activations remaining." and "deactivate a license/ version" (which is the one from last summer).
QUESTION:
Can I just deactivate it, so I then have 1 activation remaining again?
And if not, can i just reactivate the same deactivated version from last summer, so that I can try other ways for example?
Thanks already
Cheers

Hi,
Capture One Express has only 1 available activation.
Please, deactivate it from your account on the website first.
Then after you have Capture One reinstalled, launch it and activate with the key.

Hi, I have a similar problem to that from the first post in this thread. I have been using Capture One Express for Sony until I had to change the hard disk in my desktop following a gear failure. After reinstalling Windows, I installed Capture One again but found out that I can not activate the software with the code I received upon the first install. How can I deactivate the license on the website? While on my Capture One account I click Manage Licenses, then Manage Subscription, then an "Account Management" dialog box appears asking me to type in the email address tied to the account. Having done that I click "Continue" and an information that "An email with account access instructions has been sent" appears on screen but nothing happens. No email, no nothing. Can you help?
Thanks in advance,
Tom Baldowski

Tom,
If you have an Express license where does the "Manage Subscription" activity fit into what you are trying to do?
Does the C1 License manager treat a no-cost Express license as a subscription?
If you are seeing a Manage Subscription option it seems to suggest you have a subscription associated with your account and that would suggest you have (or have had) a paid-for version of Capture One.

Dear SFA,
I have never used a paid-for version of C1. I only used C1 Express (for Sony) for which I own a license key supplied by Capture One.
I am aware that "Manage Subscription" option probably does not have anything to do with Capture One Express license, but that option appears on my Capture One profile anyway.
[Update]
I think I have managed to successfully deactivate my C1 Express license. The C1 website seems to work OK today.
Regards,
Tom

Tom,
In the past few days there have been some serious problems with internet connectivity all around the world due, as I understand things, to some problems with some suppliers working at the core of the internet system operation.
That may explain the problems you were experiencing.
