Unable to activate Capture One 12
Hi,
I have a 2015 macbook pro with 16 gb of RAM, and have had licenses for Capture One 11, 12, and 20. I have Capture One 20 installed on this computer, and used to have Capture One 12. I tried to use Capture One 12 this morning, but was told:
"Could not activate because the license code has been disabled."
I'm unclear as to why that would be. Did I not pay for licenses for all three? Why would an older copy be disabled? Capture One 20 does not work on this computer because the program is an absurd RAM hog, requiring 12gb of RAM on boot according to htop, and I'm scared to upgrade any further because I don't think that this problem will be fixed.
I've reset all my Capture One licenses for Capture One 20, in case there was some limit there I was hitting, but that didn't solve my issue.
Please allow me to use the last usable version of the software on this computer.
Thanks!

Wait! Figured it out, and feelin' dumb. I'll leave the answer here in case any one else is similarly stymied:
To use an older license in an upgrade chain like this, use the most recent license code, even on the older program. So I can use my Capture One 20 license code on the Capture One 12 software, which is just fine by me. To repeat: I just removed the Capture One 20 license activations, and then reactivated Capture One 12 using the Capture One 20 license code.
