Color Readout transparency

As I use the readouts, on some images I find extremely difficult to read the numbers as the readout background switches into transparent mode and often just blends with the actual image. I have to move my mouse over it so the readout background becomes opaque (black). 

I have looked but can't find a setting for it to just stay at 100% opaque when readouts are enabled.

Does anyone know if such a setting exists?
