C1 plugin for Elinchrom

Hello,

This subject was debated 10 years ago. At this time, the version of Capture One was different and a Profoto plugin existed. Is this kind of plugins obsolete ? How, if a new plugin could be developed, the Camera tool communicates with flash plugin (ie when someone pushes the "Take picture" button) ?

    Profoto has discontinued the dongle yet it is available for sale. I recently bought a second one and was told that Profoto has discontinued support for it. It is my hope that C1 can re-support Profoto studio as it is a great concept but the software works horribly on Windows with a high-resolution monitor. I hope Support is listening!

    The question is  - "Is it a great concept that hardly anyone uses?"

    If the facilities required have been dropped by both parties it rather suggests that might be the case.
