Is there a way to get them to open to fit? I know I can easily move the slider to the left but it's just one more step. Thanks.

I found it - the setting is in View/customize viewer

As I just reported in a different thread, I resolved the zoomed-in initial image(s) issue by turning off hardware acceleration (General tab found at Edit/Preferences). In my case, at least, I've been able to turn hardware acceleration back on without the zoom issue recurring.

Thanks Bill, I just read the other post. My hardware acceleration was already off when it occured. Tech support told me the remedy i posted but now I see that doesn't last, next time it's opened the 1st image is 100%. I just turned hardware acceleration to auto, restarted & it seems OK. I will wait & see.

On or off Hardware Acceleration doesn't change Viewer opening images at 100% for me.

This needs to be fixed. How does technical support hear about this?

Excellent response from a Capture 1 Technical Support agent:

I consider this a bug and I've filed a report with all the details for our R&D team to audit the issue. I will place your ticket on-hold and will get back to you when we have a response from our engineers or if we need any more information for this report.

We also cannot guarantee that this bug will be in the next service release, but rest assured that it has been reported and will be looked into and our developers will do their best to roll out a fix as soon as possible.
