What is a cocatalogue file?
I use catalogues and start a new one every year.
I have noticed that some years have a cocatalogue file and in one case 4 cocatalogue files. These are stored in the same folder as the "real" catalogue file.
My backup catalogue files are stored on a separate drive and these don't have any cocatalogue files.
So my question is what are cocatalogue files used for?
Many thanks

Capture One operates in session mode or catalog mode. Each mode is associated with a database file, more specifically a SQLite database file. C1's database files normally have a file name reflecting the name of the session or catalog. On my Windows systems a session database file has a file extension ".cosessiondb", a catalog database file has a file extension ".cocatalogdb". They are indeed real files. I have not seen "cocatalogue" files on Windows.

Martin,
Taking OddS's point I think the files will be cocatalog files.
Most likely they are backup copies created when you have installed a new version of C1 and then opened an existing catalog. The backups allow you to revert to the previous version of C1 should you need to for some reason.
Potentially they are backup files created for some other purpose. You may be prompted, for example, to remind you to make a backup from time to time and if you do so without specifying a different location, the backups may end up in the same folder as the "active" catalog.
