Doing "before and after" shows the original film sim (B&W) for RAF files

I know how to set my colours to Standard at import so that I don't have the film simulation I assigned in canera (for JPGs) on my RAF files.

But when I review my edits with the "before and after" tool, I see the Film simulation again, not the original Standard version, (that should be without edits).

I want to see my "Standard" files for comparison; not the equivalent of my JPEGs...

    Well... I continued my adjustments, gave this shot a rating and now it works! Go figure!

    No idea as I am not a Fuji user BUT ...

    Based on discussion in other threads, the "normal" default Base Characteristic "Curve" setting would be "Auto" not "Film Standard".

    In most cases for most cameras (historically) "Auto" would result in the "Film Standard" curve for the camera.

    In the case of Fuji where a Film Simulation may have been set in camera when the image was captured, C1 will use the Film Simulation as the "Auto" selection.

    So the first "Original file" without any edits  - including to the Curve choice in the Base Characteristics set to Auto - could be with the in-camera film curve applied. I assume that this situation would only apply when editing immediately after import where the Base characteristics changes, no matter whether they were applied during import or immediately after import in an edit activity before being closed and re-opened.

    Having made the changes and at some point reloaded the revised version of the edits into memory the adjusted  "base characteristics" starting point has been applied before all of the other edit changes are applied and so the Before presentation uses the revised based characteristics settings as the new "Before" setting but leaves all of the other tool values at default for "before" and as amended for "after".

    I have no easy way to test that theory as I do not have a Fuji camera to produce images to test it. 

    But it might take you just a few minutes to see if that suggestion is in any way a possible explanation.

    @Bastian Diekmann; no I haven't... I didn't spend much time on C1 recently but I will try @SFA's theory...
