Crashing when trying to sort

I wonder whether there is some rogue image that is corrupted in some way, and is causing the crash. Perhaps you could narrow it down by selecting half of the images and moving them to say folder A, and the other half to folder B. If it crashes when sorting folder A but not when sorting folder B, that might indicate such an issue.

Also, you could try looking at the images in the browser in List view. You could look down the column for Image Date and see whether anything looks odd - maybe a date that can't be right, or a missing date, or something like that?

Hey Ian, thanks for your reply!

I gave all your suggestions a go and unfortunately the issue is still present. I've had to manually sort out 1000 shots - not fun haha

I might add that I created 2 different sessions with different photos on both my iMac and MacBook and the issue still occurs... this is very odd and I'm wondering if there is a bug in the software?

    Thanks again

The same thing is happening to me. Every time I sort anything, C One crashes. Not fun!

Yep it’s rendered C1 useless for me. I’m now using Lightroom until an update is released!

Hi guys, not of any help but the same is happening for me too. We use CO every day in the studio. This issue is not only frustrating and slows down workflow in post but is also mildly embarrassing in front of clients.

However even more annoyingly the 'Batch Rename' command simply doesn't work, particularly when including 'Original Filename'. Stupidly it works fine with such tags as 'Camera Serial Number!

Like others we have, deleted CO, downloaded and reinstalled. Updated OS to the latest version, reset NVRAM or PRAM and SMC along with running script in Terminal that deletes all user preferences in CO. We bought Fuji medium format cameras, as they seemingly have formed and alliance with Phase One.
