Nikon raw AND sony arw
Hello ! i bought Capture One 21 pro recently ..I'm using mostly a Nikon reflex...But i've a Sony RX100 M5 that i use sometimes..
I was very surprised not being able to work on my .arw files and should switch on DxO photolab !! What a shame !
A specific problem with capture one ?
What can i do without paying an other version of the software ??

Which version of C1 did you buy?
If you bought "Capture One 21 for Nikon" it only reads rawy from nikon,
and if you bought "Capture One 21 PRO" it should read all types of raw files.0 -
If you have a Nikon version of the Software it will not support images taken with other brands of camera.
Similarly, if you have the Sony version only Sony cameras are supported.
If you have the full version for all cameras both your Nikon and Sony cameras will be supported.

> Jean-François PHILIPP: ...Capture One 21 pro ... Sony RX100 M5
According to the list of Sony cameras supported, the RX100 V has been supported since Capture One version 10, see https://www.captureone.com/en/resources/tech-specs/camera-support-sony
If Sony RX100 M5 is the same camera as the listed RX100 V, you should be able to process its raw files.

you should be able to process its raw files
Unless he's using the Nikon-only version of the software...

He explicitely stated "Capture One 21 pro", why should I not believe him?

log in to your account in C1 and check the "Update License" tab, you will have the prices for the update listed there.

@keith R don't be angry, it s my fault 😂 i will upgrade even if i find it stupid...it s already expensive enough 😡
Thanks for your answers

No anger here, JF - it was actually quite obvious that you'd mixed up the versions - nothing else would easily explain your stated problem - and it wasn't a matter of "not believing you", despite the suggestion up the page.
As is usually the case, the simplest explanation is the right one.
