Happens sometimes to me, but not constantly.

Therefore rather difficult to identify the why. Sure fact is that it is hogging the performance.

same when using Viewer on a separate monitor.   Imac Pro 2017  10 cores.  Only when i go back to a single screen does the processing wheel stop.

Interesting, but not fully the same here, on MacPro 5.1 (mid-2010) running Mojave. - with two Eizo 27" on a Radeon 580

On first launch, spinning never appears.
It appears later in the day, after one or several quit and launch again.

Same here. Seems to be a problem related to dual monitor environments. No problem with one screen. CPU load seems not to be increased, but many operations reacts very slow. Strange ...

    Please do it.

Haven't had the issue today - and it must be my 7th relaunch of the app (I quit it when working on other stuff)

I'm also having the same problem. And C1 has slowed down quite a bit.

Same issue and it is happening on both my 5.1 Pro with single screen, and on Macbook Pro 15in laptop, both machines running Mojave. I think i first noticed it with Version 20, and i just updated 21 to build 14.3, and its still same issue. Very Annoying and distracting.

I've had the same issue for about a year now.  I reached out to customer support and file a report.  After trying a number of things nothing solved the issue.

Same.  I have a 2017 iMac 27" with an NEC PA302W as my second monitor and it never stops spinning.  The preview image also looks soft, but when exporting to PS, it looks much better there.  The iMac has  a 4;2 Ghz I7 quad core with 64 GB of RAM;  Very annoying.
