creating catalog

For some reason for the past 2 days when i try and import my files into a catalog or a new session, capture just gets stuck on creating previews and says 8 hours until complete and when i click on any image it is blurry. I tried this over and over and still the same result, haven't done any new upgrades. and it worked fine 5 days ago

    You do not specify how many you import and what kind of files but with such an issue, I would start with a single file and review Capture One's behavior.

    Its raw files .arw, and I'm importing less than i have been doing before in previous sessions and catalogs. I imported 50 files and still when i select a image it shows up blurry and and says creating previews. Under the cursor tolls there is a spinning icon that says "focusing viewer" and it shows up each time i click on a image.
