Style preview for new layer

I would like to have a preview for styles to see how it would look like if the style would be applied to a new layer. (maybe by pressing and holding down alt/option key)

Usecase:

I'm stacking my adjustments through layers to get my final look. For this I use styles for specific needs and purposes in my workflow. I never want a style to overwrite my adjustments from my in background layer. For me, a style always effects in addition and never as a replacement.

Unfortunately this is not how the preview of Capture One currently works: if I'm hovering above a style Capture One shows me how the image would look if applied to background layer. Of course the result is different than if it would be applied to a new new layer. Hence this makes it currently difficult to get a correct impression of the image and to make the right style choice.
