iphone 12 issues, they can be imported but not edited, unless put through lightroom first
I am using a Mac running Big Sur, 11.2.3 and Capture 21. I have an iphone 12. I cannot load iphone pics directly into C21 but I can export them out of the photos app into C21, but then I can't edit them, all the editing is greyed out.
But...
If I import the iphoto image into Lightroom, I can export them onto the desktop and then import them into C21. Then I can edit the image.
I'm glad I found a way to edit iphone pics in C21 but surely there must be a better way?

Are you using ProRaw, heif/heic, or jpg? I don't think Capture One supports ProRaw which, as I understand it, isn't really a raw format even though packaged in a DNG.

Nope, not using ProRaw etc.
Shouldn't I be able to import iPhone pics directly into C21?

Don't know.
I rarely use my phone. As a result my workflow is to use Airdrop to transfer the few images I might take from phone to computer. I file the image where I want it on the computer. Then I use the "add" feature of Import to add the image to my Capture One catalog. This works fine on my older iPhone Xs in HEIC format

Also I am using the regular iPhone 12, not the pro, so I don't have access to Apple Raw as it is only available on Apple pro's
