Image export is not accurate to exact size in inches I have input
Hi,
I'm trying to export my images at specific sizes for printing, for e.g. 51"x34" approx A0 size.
But when I open it in Photoshop to edit, the image size is 48"x32".
I have tried putting the exact size in inches in all the sizing options; long edge, short edge, width, length, etc & all with the same result.
Does anyone know why this might be? I have checked that this is the dimensions of the original image and it is, so why isn't it allowing me to export it at 51"x34"?
Thanks

You export a certain number of pixels. How photoshop or other software determines the size is to look at the number of pixels and the desired dpi. Note the word "desired". Actual dpi is a function of the physical device displaying or printing the image and there is nothing you can do to change that.
What "Resolution" are you using when you export?
Is photoshop using the same resolution?
51 inches at a resolution of 300 px/in is 15,300 pixels. 48 inches at a resolution of 300 px/in is 14,400 pixels. Which one does photoshop say it got (assuming you are using a resolution of 300).
Also, Capture One can only increase an image up to 250%. If your original image is something like 6000x4000 your maximum output will be 15000x10000. Could that be what you are seeing?
