Nikon picture profiles for Jpeg not matching tether when opened in finder

Long time C1 user and nikon shooter.. lately I have been seeing an issue where shooting a jpeg tethered (I shoot jpegs to give direct to certain clients at the time of shoot) and I am having a strange issue.  Lets say I have the camera set to "Vivid". the tether preview looks like that Nikon picture control  however go to the image file in finder and it looks washed/desaturated for some reason doesnt match at all. I have seen clients take these files and post them looking bland so its in the file.. my fix has been to export the jpegs which takes time.. and eats up storage space but it keeps the color I see in the tether .  Anyone else having this issue. seeing it with z6,z7, z6ii, z7ii and D850 so far.   The settings in the finder show that it sees the camera set to "Vivid" or whatever picture profile.  also weird quirk is no matter what I set the WB balance to its just say 5000k as shot even if im at like 3200k. just feels like some sort of disconnect happening here between the two brands.  heres an example of the SAME shot in the tether next to the actual file in finder on the right.
