Moving Catalog from external drive to a larger external drive
I use Capture One 20 on an Asus Microsoft Windows 10 laptop
All 14K+ images and catalog backups are on a 2 TB WD (X:) portable drive I now need to move all to a 4 TB WD (Y:) portable drive, part of which I did. How do I completely perform this move from within Capture One 20, Please?
I've read through several CP1 articles on moving catalogues and images, all seem easy until actually performing the procedures. Many make reference to simply dragging images and catalogs to new locations making it sound so easy, as I do not see these options in Capture One pertaining to what I want to perform. What am I missing?
With 2 TB (X:) connected I scrolled down to Folders then right-clicked on it and chose Export As Catalog, browsed to the new drive 4 TB (Y:) and if I remember correctly I chose managed catalog.
This operation took place through the night, it appears my images are moved, the catalog backups were not. Which is fine as I should only need a few of the most recent backups to accompany my images.
How do I move the most recent backups to the new (Y:) drive from within Capture One 20 please?
Also when I open Capture One I do not see the new drive (Y:) in folders, how do I get this to appear?
What are my next steps to make my new drive fully operational for present and future use?
Your expert advice and guidance is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Craig

Hi Cristopher,
Firstly, thank you for your reply, it's appreciated.
The entire process I am attempting through Capture One has been very unintuitive and frustrating. It appears what works is the same when I used LR, I am throwing up the white flag and will follow your advice.
Enjoy your weekend.
Kind regards,
Craig
