Best method for converting/exporting old CR2 files
I understand that my Fujifilm specific version will not allow me to edit my old Canon .CR2 files. The goal here is to not have anymore .CR2 files to hold on to for editing later. These are old photos that are not career defining, and I would be okay with just having .TIFFs and JPEG versions of them. What would be the best method for converting or exporting them as .TIFFs? I am thinking either of using IrfanView to convert them all to .TIFFs and then continue to edit them in Capture One for Fuji, or bump up my subscription to Pro for a month, export them all to .TIFF, and then revert back to C1 for Fuji to editing. I guess I am wondering if C1 Pro would be better than IrfanView at processing them to .TIFFs.

You may consider converting to DNG. The free Adobe DNG converter should be able to do that: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/5368-adobe-dng-converter.html
DxO lately released PureRaw that may do a similar job. It is not free, but there is a 30 day free trial: https://www.dxo.com/dxo-pureraw/download/
Just about any raw image tool is likely able to save images to TIFF, quite a few are free. Canon's own DPP software may be a candidate.
