Clicking on Thumbnail Produces Wrong Image
My thumbnails in the Catalogue are different from what shows up in the Viewer. What do I do to fix this unacceptable issue. Thank you.

I've seen this when using sessions. The issue was the improper handling (IMHO) of adding an image to my capture folder that happened to have the same name as a previously edited image.
If you are using sessions the fix is easy. Open the folder where you are seeing the wrong thumbnails in the Finder. Navigate to the CaptureOne folder. Remove the folder named Cache. Empty your trash. Restart Capture One.
I've not seen the issue using a catalog, although you may be able to do the same kind of fix as Catalog files also have a Cache folder. The down side is that it may take a while to re-build all of your thumbnails and previews. I'd probably navigate into the Cache folder and only delete the Thumbnails folder.

Jack,
Have you already tried verifying the catalogue?
If not it may be worth seeing what happens.
I run windows and once, many versions ago, I had an odd crashing situation that, after some investigation, appeared to be a bad index link in the operating system's file handling. In my case, there was one problem with file and cache entries but the system would crash about every 10 or so images when moving through the collection.
In the end, I noticed one obviously "bad" thumbnail and so deleted the image and its edit and cache data. I then re-imported the image and everything worked as expected. I have not experienced any similar problems since.
From what I could see the block reference for the image was incomplete (reason unknown but likely to be the operating system file handling) and so could link the data to places for which the data was not valid in other files - thus causing the untrappable crash.
Whilst this is not the same problem description that you are describing the nature of the problem you have could have a similar system origin. So if Marco's suggestion is something you have checked and decided does not apply, it may be that a system-based anomaly has been created, and re-generating the Previews and Thumbnails could be necessary as an attempt to repair things.
That said, if I were you I would also use the "Submit a request" option to create a Support Case and enlist the help of the C1 Support Team with the analysis.

Thanks for the assistance. I fixed the problem by "rescanning" the album. I am coming from Lightroom, and never had this sort of mismatch problem before. My suspicion is that it occurred because I edited an image in Photoshop during a particularly long import and that when I saved it, that threw off the correlation. My practice will now be not to modify files until the import process is complete.
Thanks again.
