Cannot edit cr2 files in Capture 12

I have worked my way through many posts by people having this problem but, so far, have not found an actual answer.

My copy of Capture 11 quite happily opens the cr2 files from my Canon 70D. I recently upgraded to to Capture 12 which will import the images but steadfastly refuses to let me do any edits and I cannot figure out why this should be the case. v12 happily edits my sony files but not the cr2 files.

Any ideas anyone?

    Gordon,

    When you upgraded to V12 did you purchase a Sony-specific license or a Pro (all supported cameras) license?
