Importing Movies into Dynamically Named Subfolders using Recording or File Date - Tokens
I am evaluating Capture One as a replacement for LR Classic. One feature that is a "must have" is the ability to import photos and movies into folders based on capture date.
E.g. images and movies from the same import process/folder that were captured during different days should be copied into different folders based on capture date. This functionality is available in LR and key for my workflow.
I have set up a dynamic folder structure for import using tokens and this works well for images. However, this does not work for movies. All Movies are imported into a single folder, regardless of when they were captured.
Q1: Does Capture One have the capability to import movies into different folders based on capture date?
Even if the movie capture date is not consistently stored / available in different file format, the actual file date could be used as a proxy. However, it does not seem as if file date / time is available to use as a token, during the import process.
Q2: Does Capture One have the capability to import movies into different folders based on file date / time?

I've had some experience with this now. My takeaway is that no, C1 does not have the ability to manage video metadata the same way that LR Classic could. It only has the limited ability to read the video capture time in a naive way - in UTC/GMT format - which means that your images will end up in folders +XX hours ahead/before GMT. There does not seem to be support from C1 staff to properly convert video capture metadata to proper timezone, making C1 fall short of many workflow needs.
