Jpeg versus RAW files with Fujifilm X-S10
I tried stacking 2 jpeg files by converting a RAW into a jpeg file but discovered misalignment despite it was the same photo shot with jpeg + RAW setting. I then noticed in Capture One that the RAW's thumbnail has a thin dark margin whereas the jpeg's thumbnail does not have. I reset all adjustments on the RAW file but cannot remove this dark margin which I suspect is causing the misalignment. Please help.
P.S. The application is for stacking a startrail sky (jpeg) against a dark foreground (RAW as this contains far more data than the jpeg).

Any chance that C1 applied lens correction and remove edge pixels?

Thanks for your comment. You are spot on. C1 applied lens correction on the RAW file but left the merged startrail jpeg file untouched. Hence, the two files misaligned. I now have to find a way to add lens correction to the startrail file but C1 seems to have disabled this option for the jpeg file.

Or disable it in C1?
