Rethink Variant / Single Varian in Albums (Ablum specific preferred variants)

I just stepped into the "variant" trap again. This hapens evers 2 years - than i foget about the missleding feartuere, of Varinats. May be this is only caues i useed it a lot with Aperturte years ago. I just destroyed 12 hours of work, very frustrating.

It should be possible to have different variants in different galleries. For example: all crops for Instagram in one album and an album for prints.

Removing a variant from an albun (backspace) deletes it. If I remove a normal picture, it's just no longer part of the album.

It could easily be implemented with a preferred variant that can be set depending on the Album.

    the only workaround i can do so far is works with smart albums. photos with selected date plus keywords like "bw", "square", "edit xy”
