Import tool not displaying images

Hi, A newbie hopefully easy question:  

I'm trying Capture One Express for Sony (14.2.0.48) and having trouble importing images.

My ARWs can be seen and thumbnails displayed in Windows Explorer. However C1 import tool will find the files but won't display them. No global filters set. It'll say the files are available to be picked (e.g. 61 images / 61 of 61 images picked - depending whether "pick all" is ticked) but it's not showing them. If I tell it to import all, the rest of C1 works fine, just not the import tool.

Any ideas?
