Sudden import issues

I'm confused as to why rebooting lightroom woud have any effect on a Capture One import ;-)

Are you using the camera as a card readone or are you using an external card reader?  Or an internal card reader (will they handle QXD cards?)  If an external card reader have you unplugged it from its USP port and tried a different port?  Or even unplugging it and truing the same port again?  Have you tried changing USB cables?

Last time such a thing happened to me it was due to an external card reader that failed.  I probably knocked it off of my desk one time too many.  It didn't 100% die.   It did process card access very, very slow.

Thanks for your help : ) Don't be confused. Typo. Rebooted Capt One, not Lightroom. Relatively new & reliable QXD card reader that just sits safely on my desk. As for cables & connections, same that I've always used, but I will walk through the options (have to use USB hub as my Mac laptop only accepts USB-C). In my experience, if a card reader goes bad, it ejects the disk or can't keep a connection long. And same with cables. This is just crawling along (still showing about an hour left). Was wondering if anyone else was having any compatibility issues.

Solved: It was the USB hub I believe (though it's worked before). Found a single USB -> USB-C adaptor and it's back to very fast importing.

Glad the solution was that easy.   And I suppose I'm not surprised.  My wife has a hub connected to her iMac with tape over one of the ports.   From some reason that one port stopped working.  We've yet to replace the hub as she has enough ports to use for now.
