Capture One subscription license and an express license on the same computer

    Anders,

The software is the same. The Activation key defines whether camera manufacture constraints are applied and also the features and functions that differ between Express and Pro versions.

In theory if you obtain a license key for the Sony Express version all you would need to do is de-activate the Fuji version when you wished to so something with Sony images and then de-active the Sony Express version and re-activate the Fuji Pro version for work on Fuji files.

I don't think a different User account on the system would work since the main control over licensing is on a Capture One server.

Having 2 Capture One accounts, one for each license, might be an option but it's not something I have tried and I am not sure if one could set it up to be successfully automated to make the switchover easy on your device.

So I suspect you would need to go through the de-active/reactivate dance during at least the period during which you are evaluating the Sony.

There is a Help article (maybe more than one) that discusses things like this. I have not read it and absorbed the content as it is not a challenge I face. Being a Canon user I have to spend the extra cash for the full Pro options and so testing any file from any supported source is open to me.

@SFA thank you for the answer. I will give your suggestion a try and see if it works.
