    Max,

    The C1 control, as I understand it, is about opening the importer Window if C1 is open and a card is inserted in a reader device.

    If plugging in a card opens Capture One that sounds like a Windows setting, perhaps to do with Windows file type association settings.

    From your description, I was not sure whether you already had Capture One open (but maybe not as the active program at the forefront of the screen display) when you plug in the card or whether Windows started it up from a shut-down state.

    Capture one is opening from a closed state when I plug in a card. It has only started since I upgraded to the latest version. Why woul Windows influence it?

    Windows has settings that relate to the default applications to use to present specific file types and what to do when some actions are taken - such as when Windows finds a memory card that has just been inserted or connected.

    It would be a good idea to check the values that currently exist for those settings.
