Processed Variant not showing up in Capture One once processed

Yes.   That is the way it works with catalogs.

You import an image.  You edit it.  You "process" the image which is nothing more than exporting a copy with your edits baked in.   The exported image is in the location you selected in the process recipe.

That exported image is identical in looks to the edited image.  At least it should be.   What advantage do you see in having that copy given that it looks exactly like your edited image?  If you want to make a variation of that image simply create a new variant and edit it to taste.  You can always re-create the copy with the edits baked in by processing the image again.

Ignoring the fact that I don't understand why you want the exported copies in Capture One I will say that if you use sessions instead of catalogs you can get what you want.  By default exported "processed" images go to the session output folder.  You can see them when you visit that folder.

Like Marco, I don't understand why you'd want your processed images showing up in the catalog, since "processed" is intended for use outside the catalog and might also be called "Export a Copy". However...

If you ONLY want to see it in the catalog, then set the process recipe's output to be the original image folder (may need to use a token).

And if you want the processed variant to show in both the catalog and a different location, then create duplicate process recipes—one for the original folder and the other for whatever other location you want. Note, though, that later you may need to delete BOTH processed images (NOT the original!) from your computer.

Just a guess here, but if you're thinking of saving processed images as a way to track history (some remark that LR can track history while C1 can't), then I'd suggest making variants at each processing point that you'd like to preserve. Simple examples: color and B&W variants, or different cropped variants, or variants tuned for different print papers.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Maybe I need to explain myself better with specific example:

    1. I edit Image "MX-1 RAF" that has been added to Collection "final instagram", and also in Collection "website in process" or maybe to also Collection Fav Album for a particular trip.

    2. I Process to output folder "Instagram" on external drive this moment in time.

    3. If I want to look for that final image again in any of those Collections, it is gone. I need to find the same image in a month maybe for other purposes that are not "final instagram"

I need to be able to see all images in those collections, because a final image for instagram I might use with different edits and processing for "website"and I go to Collections to look for it again since those are the preferred images to work on.

That is why setting output folder as original location is not useful for me because I would have to navigate 500-1,000 images inside that folder to find the final one for a given purpose. Note: I do use color tags but that is not granular enough for me, I might have 20-100 of same color tag in one folder.

I hope this explains better the situation. :)

How is it gone?   You still have MX-1 RAF.   If you look at that file you will see your edits.  The image will also be in the collections unless you removed them.   Oh... are you continuing to edit MX-1 RAF for other purposes?  That would make your "final instagram" image "gone".

My solution (and I'm not claiming it is the best solution, or even one that is particularly good, only something that works for me) is after editing an image for a particular purpose I assign a keyword that identifies that purpose.  I may create a smart album for images with that keyword to group the images together.  Or I can search for the keyword on an ad hoc basis.

Before making further edits I make a new variant and if starting from a clone of the original variant will remove the keyword I added.  I'll then edit to suit the new purpose and apply a new keyword if I want to keep track of the new variant.

Of you can import the image you exported.  Or use sessions.  Lots of choices even if none of them are not exactly what you had in mind.
