Capture ONE 21 14.2 + P65+ high sierra not connecting

Hi

I come accross this problem after update capture one to the last versions 14.2, my P65 cannot connect to the software.

I have try with the previus versions 14.0.2, and it work perfectly.

My OS is MacOS HighSierra, with all the updates.

    If I recall correctly the P65 uses a Firewire connection?

    Firewire support has been dropped by Apple, if I recall correctly, and also by C1 as of the 14.2 release.

    For suggestions about alternatives I think your best option would be to head to the Phase One cameras Forum to see what may be suggested over there. Or maybe contact your Phase One dealer to ask them about options for working around the constraint.

    Versions before 14.2  (e.g. 14.1) should still work as far as I can tell.

    And yes, it's only have Firewire connection.

    The solution that PhaseOne reply was this:
    "

    As Capture One 21 build 14.2, firewire is no longer supported.

    This is stated in release note in Capture One and in the following knoeldge base article

    This is due to this version being native for the new M1 processors where the consequence is that Firewire cannot be supported anymore.

    With any IQ series back we recommend using USB

    For older P series there is no other workaround then to stay on Capture One 21 build 14.02 and never upgrade beyond Mac OS 10.15 Catalina."

    I have to stay with this version 14.02

    Does your computer have  a thunderbolt port?  Apple and other sources offer Fire wire  to Thunderbolt adapters.  This allows data via firewire to come in at USB speeds. I use it to access firewire drives etc.

    It may be worthwhile to check with Phase One to see if they have tried that knowing that there are users  using firewire and cannot access the camera.

    I have been using capture one 12 and capture 20 on a MacBook Pro mid 2015.

    I use a firewire to thunderbolt 400-800 cable to thunderbolt 2 adapter.

    I also use a OWC  dock with firewire to thunderbolt 2  ( the dock has HDMI out, USB3 and audio)

    The image on the P65+ is still very good.  I would hate to retire it.

    No Captureone 22 and no USB C support
