Updating my software

OK so I'm new to Capture One and am struggling to do a simple software update.  I have 14.1.  It says 14.2 is available.  I can go online and download the whole new version 14.2 (which doesn't seem to update 14.1 but exists as a whole new instance).  And then I can't open it because apparently my licence code has expired.  Which was from 3 months ago when I bought the upgradable software for a year.

Can someone help me?

I'm on Mac OS 11.4

And 14.1 crashes about every 15 minutes ... is that normal?
