Trying to move catalog to external SSD
I am trying to move my catalog from my internal drive to external SSD and all accompanying collections. I thought I followed the directions but seem to only have duplicated the catalog to my external drive while Capture 1 still reverts to the catalog on my internal drive. I really want to operate from external and am feeling a bit frustrated.

Just tell Capture One to open the catalog on your external drive. I suspect that what you're seeing is that if a catalog is open when C1 quits, then C1 will open that catalog on the next launch. If you close the catalog window before quitting, then on the next launch C1 will ask you to navigate to your desired catalog.
To prevent confusion, though, I'd suggest that you rename your original catalog to something like "Catalog on internal disk" or "Old Catalog". Then C1 won't open it until you navigate there.
One thing: usually C1 operates faster with catalogs on internal drives, even if the external is an SSD. Reason: internal interconnect speeds tend to be faster for internal drives. Of course portability among computers would be one reason for keeping everything on your external.
