Cyan color in capture one simulations is oversaturated
Is anyone experiencing this problem on capture one?
It looks that de Cyan color in capture one is oversaturated in the sky compared to lightroom and does not blend well with white and blue.
I used velvia (without changing any other setting in c1 or lr) to exaggerate the color problem, if you use astia, provia, pro neg, etc. the same problem appears but with less saturation.

the cause of the difference you see is probably that adobe does apply a sophisticated highlight compression on default so in areas close to clipping adobe software produces smoother results. there are other more general differences in color rendering too which may also play a roll here.
when you look carefully you will often find color shifts and color banding in clipped and close to clipped highlights especially in recovered or exposure corrected areas , c1 has other qualities but it is for sure not the king of smoothness.
it seems also that this phenomenon is seen as normal behaviour because we do not read a lot of complains about it and considering that it is rather easy to get an clipped and over exposed sky it is surprising.0 -
Thanks CSP for your detailed answer.

forgot to say, if there is a new prostandard profile for you camera give it a try as this profiles seem to address the cyan shift issue.
