Problem with using wacom tablet with Capture one
I am not sure if my problem is unique, but it is driving me around the twist.
Windows 10 64bit operating system. I’ve had Capture one 12, 20, 20 Pro, and now 21 Pro. Capture 21 is installed with latest version, as is Windows with the latest version. Eberything works precisely as it should.
Install software and latest driver for Wacom Intuos (not Pro) and reboot the computer. Tablet appears to work on opening Windows windows screen. Open Wacom software and click on box to disable Windows Ink, as it is a known conflict. Now try to open Capture One 21, however it fails to ooen. This is with both the Intuos pen or the mouse, either with double click or right-click and “open” command. Eventually gets message “VBruntime140.dll error or cannot be found” error message.
So I reinstalled Capture One 21, but it still fails to start. I then ran the VB executable and did a repair. Still nothing. Wait, stop the presses!
Eureka! Went back to try one more thing. Took off Wacom software and driver. Rebooted. Reinstalled Capture One. Reinstalled Wacom software and drivers and disabled Windows Ink (specifically for Capture One) via the Wacom configuration utility. Then ran the repair executables for 32 and 64 bit VB runtime software. Renewing the dll files, after installing the Wacom drivers, brought Capture One back to life. All tablet functionality appears to be there.
Problem appears to be solved!

I I use a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium, It helps a lot avoiding RSI and rotator cuff ligament damage. Usually, when I click into a box to type in a file name etc. in Capture one, the program minimises, a search box pops up and the cursor exits the box. I have to swap to the mouse which is not comfortable for my rotator cuff.
Do you know of a way to fix this? i can't see anywhere to turn off a Windows link in the pro software.0
